Thanks for the feedback and input. Sounds like you're doing some good stuff, so would be happy to chat. You should definitely try to get to some of the events in Cardiff and say hello! :-)

Hi Neil,

You hit the nail on the head with this article. I'm from NY and live in South Wales now, opened 3 businesses here, so I know there is opportunity. There's a (slow) culture change that is happening, but then again everything is slow compared to NYC. I would love to get involved and help any way I can. We started a programme called Ohm Small Business (twitter @ohmbusiness) offering free workshops to startups, so I would like to see how I can incorporate that into your initiative.

Best,
Jessie

As always, an interesting piece there Neil.

Events like TED, TEDx, Ignite, Pecha Kucha, Do Lectures all do a great job in inspiring people, but like you say, it's what they do next that counts. We somehow need to capitalise on that feeling people have 'there and then' when they feel inspired to do something - it's a concept that I'm currently developing a couple of solutions for, including a revamped, more manageable 'Inspired' event and the other is a community network.

Looking forward to TEDx - keep up the good work my friend. I also posted my first blog article today which features you a few paragraphs in.

Hey Emily,

Good to hear from you. Yes, I know the Arduino well (through skilled friends - I wouldn't have the first clue!).

It's one bit of kit I've been assessing for the project, along with the Rasperry Pi (http://www.raspberrypi.org/).

Working out what kit to use, and who to build it for me, is going to be the toughest part!

Let me know if you fancy getting coffee to chat about it sometime.

Hi Neil, a friend just sent me your post - sounds like an amazing project! We've been looking into a prototyping platform called Arduino: http://www.arduino.cc/ - and I wondered if it might be useful for your project.

We're looking at ideas or ways of using this for an event or challenge that ties in with Cardiff Design Festival at the moment.

The website talks about sensors that generate actions and how this can be used to feed data to the web - so it sounded similar to what you're trying to achieve with your live stream of sound.

I hope it helps - as food for thought if nothing else! Look forward to hearing how you get on :)

Technology is moving so rapidly these days that, as I’m sure you’ve realized, you need a website to stay relevant no matter what industry you are in. So how do you get a website? The two most common options are to pay for a custom website or build your own website. I’m going to tell you many of the advantages of using a website builder instead of paying for a custom website i like it.thanks for sharing
